How far is it from your part of Arvada?

Arvada runs the better part of eight miles east to west and spills across two counties, so “an Arvada chiropractor” means something very different in Olde Town than it does in Candelas. Here is the honest version, so you know what you are signing up for before you book.

If you are out past Indiana Street, we are a genuine drive and we would rather say so now than have you discover it on a Tuesday afternoon. Plenty of patients from far west Arvada still make the trip, usually because they want the accident documentation handled properly or they have run out of patience with being handed a twelve week plan on day one. That is a fair reason. A stiff neck on a Wednesday probably is not.

Why Arvada patients drive past three other clinics

There is no shortage of chiropractors along Wadsworth. The patients who come to us from Arvada tend to be looking for one of four things.

One set of hands, several tools

Adjustment, soft tissue work, dry needling and cupping happen in the same visit with the same provider, rather than being split across three appointments or referred out. See what that looks like.

No contracts, no forced care plans

You will not be asked to prepay for six months before anyone has touched your back. Care runs as long as it is doing something and stops when it is not.

Twenty years, and a teaching background

Dr. Andrew Allen trained at Palmer College of Chiropractic after a kinesiology and exercise science background, and spent years teaching human anatomy and physiology. You will get the actual explanation. More about Dr. Allen.

Accident care that holds up on paper

If your injury came from a crash, the notes matter as much as the treatment. We document properly and coordinate with your attorney when there is one. Car accident injury care.

What walks in the door from Arvada

Geography shapes injuries. The Arvada patients we see cluster into a handful of familiar patterns.

  • The Wadsworth commute. Thirty to fifty minutes in the car each way, then eight hours at a desk. It shows up as neck pain, upper back tightness and the headaches that start behind one eye around three in the afternoon.
  • G Line desk workers. Riding in from Olde Town or Arvada Ridge to Union Station is easier on the spine than driving, but it still ends in a chair. Same pattern, slightly kinder version.
  • Ralston Creek and Van Bibber regulars. Runners and cyclists on the trail system pick up knee pain, hip pain and plantar fasciitis, usually after a jump in mileage rather than a single bad step.
  • Standley Lake shoulders. Paddling, rowing and open water swimming are hard on rotator cuffs, and shoulder pain from a summer on the water tends to arrive in September.
  • Jeffco high school athletes. Arvada West, Pomona, Arvada High and Ralston Valley all feed us muscle strains and back complaints in season. Athlete care is built for exactly this.
  • Olde Town feet. Restaurant, retail and salon work means eight hours standing on hard floors, which is a reliable route to lower back pain and sciatica.
  • Weekend altitude. Arvada is a straight shot to the foothills, and I-70 Sunday nights are full of people who skied well and drove home badly. Ski and hike injuries land on Mondays.
  • Yard season. The older Arvada neighborhoods come with mature trees and real lawns. Spring cleanup, and the disc that finally objects to it, arrive together.

After a car accident in Arvada

The Wadsworth Bypass, 64th Avenue, the Sheridan corridor and the I-70 interchange at Ward Road produce most of the crash patients we see from Arvada. If you have been in one, two things are worth knowing.

Feeling fine is not the same as being fine. Soft tissue injuries frequently take twenty four to seventy two hours to declare themselves, and adrenaline at the scene hides a great deal. Getting assessed early creates a baseline, which matters clinically and matters again later if there is a claim.

The paperwork is part of the treatment. Injury care that is not documented properly is worth less to you at every stage. We keep records built for that, and we coordinate with your attorney when you have one. If you do not, that is fine too. You do not need a referral and you do not need a lawyer to be seen.

Questions Arvada patients ask

Are you actually located in Arvada?

No, and we would rather be straight about it. The clinic is in Wheat Ridge at 44th and Sheridan, a few minutes over the Arvada city line. A large share of our patients live in Arvada, which is why this page exists, but the office itself is not in Arvada.

How long is the drive from Arvada?

Five minutes from the east side, about ten from Olde Town, fifteen from Lake Arbor, and closer to twenty five if you are out in Candelas or Leyden Rock. The table further up this page breaks it down by neighborhood.

Can I be seen the same day?

Often, yes. We hold room for same day and next day appointments, which matters most after a car accident or when something has locked up overnight. Call or text (303) 351-0744 and we will tell you honestly what is open.

I was in an accident in Arvada. Do I need a referral or an attorney first?

Neither. You can book directly. If you already have an attorney we will coordinate with them, and if you do not, we will still document your care the way it needs to be documented. More on car accident injury care.

Will I be pushed into a long treatment plan?

No. There are no contracts and no prepaid packages here. We treat what is in front of us, tell you what we think it will take, and stop when you are done. Here is what a first visit actually looks like.

Ten minutes from Olde Town. Worth the drive.
